Palio del Recioto
This traditional festival takes place every year in Negrar during the Easter holidays.
It was first held on an Easter Monday in 1953 in order to promote the production of the prestigious Recioto wine, but also its territory.
During the festival the best Recioto wines are presented and enter into a competition. Every year a prize is given to the cellar which produces the best Recioto wine.
The Palio del Recioto lasts many days but the best days are Easter Sunday and Monday, where in the centre of Negrar various wine cellars offer their Recioto and also the Amarone for tasting. Folkloric groups perform in the town square with music and dancing.
